Sustainability management model
The sustainability management model covers the entire CGD structure, involving also some companies of the Group and affiliate Banks in the pursuit of the Corporate Sustainability Program. The sustainability management model covers the entire CGD structure, involving most of the Divisions and Complementary Groups of Companies (ACEs) in the pursuit of the Corporate Sustainability Program, as well as some companies of the Group and affiliate Banks - Caixa Banco de Investimento; Caixa Gestão de Ativos; Fundação Caixa Geral de Depósitos - Culturgest; Banco Interatlântico, Banco Comercial do Atlântico and Banco Caixa Geral Brasil.
Executive Board for Sustainability (CDSU) The Executive Board for Sustainability is the deliberative body of the Executive Committee responsible for the examination, decision, debate and monitoring of the implementation, from a corporate point of view, of the Sustainability strategy of CGD and of the CGD Group's Branches and Subsidiaries, including the maintenance of the Environmental Management System.
The Executive Board for Sustainability has, among others, the following competencies:
Guiding and supporting the CGD's progress based on a vision for Sustainability, assessing its investments and assets and instruments to support its future construction, in line with the corporate mission and strategies that have been defined, during the decision and execution stages. Overseeing the implementation of the best business practices and principles of conduct, from the legal and compliance point of view, as well as economic, social environmental and reputation issues, within the limits of its competencies, supervising the preparation of sustainability reports and other relevant information within this scope, on behalf of CGD and of the CGD Group's Branches and Subsidiaries. Providing information on the annual planning associated with the Corporate Sustainability Program to the Executive Committee and to the Strategy, Governance and Evaluation Committee having, among others, the competence to define the CGD's vision and mission for Sustainability and, subsequently, the strategic guidelines for the performance that needs to be ensured, through the Corporate Sustainability Program, proposing its extension, wherever practicable, to the CGD Group's Branches and Subsidiaries. The permanent members of the CDSU are the Chief Executive Officer, who chairs the Board, and the members of the Executive Committee responsible for portfolios acknowledged as essential for the implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Program, as well as for the maintenance of the Environmental Management System, in CGD and in the CGD Group companies, namely:
