Prevention of conflicts of interests

Caixa Geral de Depósitos complies with its special information requirements, namely to the Finance Ministry.

The Members of the Board of Directors are fully aware of the fact that they cannot intervene in the assessment and decision of operations in which have a direct or indirect interest themselves, their spouses or persons with whom they live in de facto unions, relatives or the like up to the 1st degree, or companies or other collective entities any of which they directly or indirectly control, under the terms of article 86 of the General Credit Institutions and Financial Corporations Regime.

Caixa also has a Global Prevention and Management of Conflicts of Interest Policy which sets out the operating principles and standards of professional conduct to be complied with, herein, by CGD, employees and relevant persons in the performance of their respective activities and functions. This policy also defines the organisational measures and necessary procedures to ensure the adequate prevention and effective management of any conflicts of interest.
