CaixaBI once again distinguished by EMEA Finance

CaixaBI once again received this year's award for Best Investment Bank in Portugal, awarded by EMEA Finance, a reputed magazine in the international financial community.

The magazine announced last April its Europe Banking Awards in an event where the Editor, Christopher Moore, made the following remarks:

“The bank is proud of the contribution it has and continues to make, first assisting Portugal to re-access the debt markets, and second to maximize the opportunities available. Proof of this successful pattern was evident in January 2015 with the 10-year and 30-year dual tranche transaction issued by the sovereign. CaixaBI was joint-bookrunner on the €3.5bn 2.875% due Oct. 2025, and the €2bn 4.1% due Feb. 2045. This dual tranche issue meant the lowest-ever coupon of a 10-year public debt issue and, in its 30-year tranche, the first such maturity since 2006.”

In the award presentation mention was made to the Bank´s key role in some of the country´s most important M&A transactions.
