On October 16 in Milan Caixa Geral de Depósitos participated at the "FIG Day Milan 2015”, held by Crédit Agricole and Banca Akros.

The event was attended by 30 investors and issuers including Caixa.

The DCM Origination Hybrid Capital and Liability Management of Crédit Agricole (CACIB), Doncho Donchev, held a presentation concerning the Bank resolution "BRRD implementation: Back to national approaches", the regulatory requirements and financial instruments eligible for bail-in.

There was a panel discussion following the keynote addresses regarding the "Bank Resolution and the future bank balance sheet management and funding" and the application of the resolution (BRRD) policy in some countries including Sweden, Austria and Portugal.

Germany and Italy have already taken some decisions about the senior debt eligible for MREL. This was a “hot” topic and assumed as a critical factor of success for the global markets harmonization.
The one-on-one meetings that followed were an opportunity to provide an update on Caixa and the Portuguese economic outlook.
