7th Edition of Caixa Social Awards 2025
The 7th Edition of the “Caixa Social Awards” rewards 44 projects with a total prize amounting to €1 million.
Caixa Geral de Depósitos is pleased to announce the 44 projects selected in the 7th edition of the Caixa Social Awards, an initiative put together by Third Sector entities nationwide, with a total investment of €1 million.
This year, 286 eligible applications were reviewed nationwide:
- Social Inclusion and Solidarity: 53% (151)
 - Training and Skill-Building: 25% (71)
 - Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: 22% (64)
 
Of these, 44 projects were selected:
- Social Inclusion and Solidarity: 21 projects (€480,900)
 - Training and Skill-Building: 17 projects (€396,150)
 - Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: 6 projects (€122,950)
 
Applications were reviewed by an independent jury consisting of individuals with experience in this edition’s areas of action: Filipe Almeida (President of Estrutura de Missão Portugal Inovação Social), Filipe Santos (Dean of Universidade Católica Portuguesa), Isabel Mota (former Chair of the Board of Directors of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), María Marín (Non-Executive Member of CGD’s Board of Directors), and chaired by António Farinha Morais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Caixa Geral de Depósitos.

The awards ceremony will take place on 27 October at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Foundation – Culturgest.
Over its seven editions, the Caixa Social Awards have rewarded 223 social projects, amounting to a total investment of €4.76 million.
This initiative strengthens the social sector and reaffirms Caixa’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to the development of a fairer, more cohesive, and more inclusive society.
